      Role Overview

      FFP is seeking a Legal Advisor to support our CEO and management on labor, employment, and compliance matters. Responsibilities include advising on legal issues, drafting contracts and agreements, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with local and federal laws.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Advising and counseling FFP CEO and Managers on legal issues involving people who provide any kind of service to the organization (i.e. volunteers, employees, others).
      • Handling employment issues and other labor/employment matters.
      • Drafting and preparing legal documentation, such as contracts, agreements, or claims. Ensuring these are implemented.
      • Researching documents and previous cases to create legal arguments.
      • Conduct legal research and keep up to date with new labor/ employment legislation.
      • Evaluating different risk factors and offering proactive advice on possible legal/ labor issues.
      • Maintaining current knowledge of laws and provide clarification on legal language advising Management.
      • Monitoring and ensuring on a regular basis the FFP compliance with local and federal laws.
      Required Skills and Qualifications
      • Senior year law student or 1-2 years of experience as a labor/employment advisor (preferred).
      • Experience in advising and counseling managers (preferred).
      • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
      • Strong knowledge of state and federal labor and employment law.
      • Analytical and critical skills.
      • Passion for client service and practice development.
