Role Overview
This is a volunteer, remote Senior Product Manager role responsible for driving frontend, UX, and user-facing experiences for our cutting-edge platform focused on real-time fact-checking, content verification, misinformation analysis, and forensic insights.
You will partner closely with engineering, design, data, and marketing teams to ensure product development delivers trustworthy, intuitive, and scalable user experiences aligned with our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for frontend and user experience initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Translate product vision into clear requirements, epics, and user stories, guiding teams from ideation through launch and iteration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, marketing, and external partners to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
- Apply data-driven decision-making, using analytics and experimentation to validate assumptions, measure impact, and optimize product outcomes.
- Continuously improve and enhance existing products, delivering measurable improvements in usability, engagement, and adoption.
- Communicate product goals, trade-offs, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
- Balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment while maintaining execution excellence.
Frontend & UX Experience:
- Strong design mindset with hands-on experience collaborating on high-quality UX/UI using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar.
- Proven experience with front-end-focused products, including websites, dashboards, or content-driven platforms.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies and architectures, including React.js, APIs, SDKs, and how they impact UX decisions.
- Experience with product instrumentation and clickstream analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, etc.) to inform decisions.
- Exposure to product marketing and go-to-market collaboration, including content publishing and user engagement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management within the technology industry.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Demonstrated experience working on frontend or UX-heavy product areas, with at least 1–2 years of direct impact on design-related initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Self-starter mindset with comfort operating in ambiguous and evolving environments.
- Willingness to volunteer ~15 hours per week and contribute to a mission-driven initiative.
